| Notes | Prior to these verses, we had two stories of fear, and now, two stories of faith. The woman who had bled for years, who touched the hem of Jesus’ cloak, and the daughter of Jairus who had died. Luke specifies the name Jairus and who he was, stating, “And there came a man named Jairus, who was a ruler of the synagogue.” (v. 41) This is, perhaps, for verification purposes. |
