I discovered a couple things today that will help me with my deed placement. By beginning earlier and working forward in time, I’m finding many more deeds that reference some corner on a known survey. I can create an artificial _spur file that reverses the calls in the deed up to the point where the metes and bounds reference a known corner. This seems to be giving me pretty good placement. I think it may come to the point where I need to infer the location of some of these tracts. I’m pretty excited, though, because a lot of disparate parts seem to be coming together, and I’m getting a lot of surveys placed. Now, just to work my way inward into the interior of the surveys, and forward in time.
