- we can not possibly live the Christian life without the church, because there is no way to serve one another, otherwise.
The Gospel Causes Us to be Committed to Oneness1 #
- oneness does not mean sameness, but rather to be committed to one another and our relationship to Christ.
- Having the same love. This is exemplified in Christ’s willingness to die for us. This is a selfless love, putting others ahead of yourself.2
- Being of one mind3
The Gospel Ceates a Desire to Serve Each Other4 #

- in humility, consider others more important that yourself5

It was dispersed throughout the world, but connected over great distances by its Head and King, who is Christ.

the Biblical sense of the word humility connotes “shabbiness” or being of “no account.” This is how we are to view ourselves. The opposite of the self-esteem movement, Christians should instead promote and practice other-esteem. ↩︎
